When Loyalty Costs Your Life

When Loyalty Costs Your Life

Some lions captured a donkey. One of the lions said, "Don't kill it. I have a big plan for it."

According to that plan, the lions kept the donkey with them. They took great care of it and won its trust. Then one day they released it into the donkey community, but this time the donkey was no longer like a donkey, but became the king of the donkey community, like a lion.

Since the lion was friendly with this donkey, the other donkeys started to fear it. They hesitated to say anything against it.

When the lion came to meet the donkey, the donkey would come to meet the lion with a group of donkeys behind him, like a king. And when the lion left, he would give him a donkey to eat.

This donkey became as powerful as a lion, but he remained a donkey to the lion. He became the king of the donkey community, but he was stuck with such a power that he could not escape.

Because of this, he sacrificed thousands of safe donkeys, just thinking that by doing so, he would become stronger and he would be able to maintain his power. But one day came when all the donkeys unitedly opposed the injustice of that donkey, and they decided that whenever the lion came, none of them would go with the donkey. No matter how bad the consequences were.

The next day, when the lion came, the donkey went to meet him alone. There was no herd of donkeys behind him. Then the donkey pleaded with the lion that his fear was now over from the donkey society. No one is afraid of him now. No one listens to him.

Hearing this, the lions decided that this donkey would be of no use anymore. So they took that donkey with them to eat. Thus, in the end, the donkey also became a victim.

Similarly, in every society, there are always those donkeys who, out of greed, for their own power, put their own society in danger.
