These are the 3 animals that could survive the end of the world, and number one isn't the cockroach. In third place, the emperor scorpion can freeze completely, spend the night, thaw in the sun the next day, and walk around as if nothing happened. In second place, the lungfish. It can live out of water, buried in dry mud for up to 4 years, waiting for the rain to return, and in the first place, the tardigrade. This microscopic creature withstands the vacuum of outer space. Temperatures of minus 200°C and radiation levels that would melt us in seconds.

Which of these titans surprised you the most?

If I told you that the ocean's most feared predator is actually an opportunistic sloth? Do you believe it? We've always been sold the great white shark as the perfect killing machine, chasing live prey at top speed. But nature has a much more curious secret. When a 30-ton whale dies and drifts, the ocean's all-you-can-eat buffet opens up for sharks. Hunting uses up too much energy. So why bother when you can have a free feast at these carrion feasts? The aggression disappears. Dozens of sharks have been seen. Giants peacefully eating side by side, sinking their teeth into whale blubber as if it were a giant cake—they are the vultures of the sea. They went from relentless monsters to cleaners of the ecosystem. Now you tell me. Does this change your mind about sharks, or do they seem even more terrifying? Let me know in the comments.
