The Bunker Was Never Safe- 144 Floors Below the Lie
In the beginning, we see a huge
bunker called Silo. It has 144 levels. It is called Fluoro. 10,000 people live
here. Because the world is no longer habitable. We will find out later whether
there has been a nuclear attack or the air has been poisoned. However, people
now live in bunkers. The 10,000 people in this bunker all do different jobs.
Some floors of the silo grow food, and some floors raise animals. They have
doctors and engineers. It means a whole world where there is everything to
live. There is a big generator on the floor below this silo. Which supplies
electricity to the entire silo and keeps the silo lit. This generator does not
run on solar energy or any fuel. Rather, it runs on steam power. Now we will
gradually find out where this steam comes from. Everyone in the silo has their
own family. They have a house and a job. Although this silo is very deep, there
is no elevator. So everyone has to climb up and down using stairs. Most of the
people in the silo don't know much about human history. It can be assumed that
they don't even know what the stars that shine in the night sky are called.
Everyone just knows that the silo is their world, and they have to survive
here. What happened to the world, or how was the world before? They do not know
about this. There is a system here to control so many people. A chain of
command. There are different departments in the silo, i.e., IT, engineering,
medical, food, etc. Just like in our world. There is a mayor here, in addition
to the mayor, there is a sheriff here so that he can control the situation.
Also, with the sheriff, there is a deputy sheriff. Those who guard their own
floors keep an eye on the people, but there is a force called the Judicial
Force to control all the people here. In a word, they are the army of the Silo,
who only come forward in difficult situations. There is a concept of money in
the Silo; some rules are like this - you cannot keep things with you that are
from the old world, that is, things that were made by people long ago. There
are strict punishments to protect this ruin. The second rule is that if someone
says they are going out, they are sentenced to death. They are put in a suit
and sent outside. Where the poisonous air will kill them. There is a large
screen in the cafeteria on the top floor of the Silo. From where you can see
the outside world, a destroyed, dry, desolate world. Here, no one can have
children if they want to. This requires judicial permission, that is,
permission from the government here. Today was a normal day like the rest of
the days in the silo. We see Holston. It is morning, Holston prepares himself.
He places a vase in front of a mirror in his room. Then he tightens the belt of
an air van. At first, everything seems ordinary, but these small points are
very important. Anyway, Holston has been the sheriff of the silo for a long
time. He performs his duty well. Everyone respects him and listens to him.
After getting ready, he heads towards the cafeteria. In which we see a basic
design of the silo. There is something on each floor. Seeing Holston today, it
seemed confused. As if many questions were running through his mind. He stands
in front of that screen in the cafeteria. From where the outside world was
visible. He just stared outside.
After breakfast, he reached his office, which is the police station in Silo. Here, we are introduced to Deputy Sam Mars. Sam is a good deputy and a good friend of Holston. As soon as he got to the office, Holston took off his coat and put it on a hook. Then he locks himself in cell number three. This cell is actually made for people who will be sentenced to death. That is, those who will be taken out of the cell. The outside view can be seen from this cell. When Sam sees that Holston has locked himself in, he asks, "What are you doing?" Holston says, "He should have listened to me." Sam asks him, "Don't say what's on your mind." In fact, if someone says, "I want to go outside," then according to the rules, he has decided to die, and Sheriff Holston tells him to go out. Sam feels very bad hearing this. What happened to Holston here? Why does he want to go outside to die? He starts telling his friend Sam all this, and then we see a flashback to three years ago. Where we see Holston and his wife, Allison. Allison used to work in the IT department. Now, the silo has IT, but the computers here are not that advanced. Only basic tasks can be done. Anyway, this morning, Allison got some good news. In fact, married couples who want to have children send this request to the judiciary. Remember, whenever the matter comes to the judiciary, they have to understand that they are the most powerful people in the silo. The ones who make every important decision in the silo. The judicial team organizes a lottery. Where those whose names come up are allowed to have their children. So that no one breaks the rules, a birth control device is placed in each woman's stomach. Now that Allison's name has come up in the lottery, they go to the doctor. The doctor removes his battery device. However, when the doctor was doing this, there was a cloth in the middle. Those who are allowed to have children here have only one year. If a woman does not get pregnant in a year, she loses her chance.
From Allison and the doctor, we can learn that Allison has tried twice before. But nothing happened, so this is the last time. Because after this, Allison will be so old that she will not be able to have a child. Days go by, but the results are coming back negative. Which worries both of them. In the meantime, we see Holland, the head burner of the IT department. He is a bit strict, but he is also a worker like the rest. Those above them are judicial, but it is not yet known whether there is anyone above the judicial. However, Allison was not like the rest. He always has many questions about all the rules here. So he writes an article. Which Bernard does not like and he deletes the file. Nobody likes people like Alison who raise questions. The people in the silo have been brainwashed, and why wouldn't it be? Because they've all been here for years. There was a rebellion here 140 years ago. No one has raised their head since that rebellion. Anyway, it's been 208 days. Alison has only 157 days left to conceive. Then we get to know the mayor here, Ruth Jens. Who has been the mayor of the silo for a long time? Mayor Jens is known for taking care of people and making the right decisions. But she also answers to the judicial. Everything has been going well for many years. That's why no one has been executed. That's why the cameras that are installed outside or the view from other places outside are now dirty, and normally, if someone goes outside, they clean that camera first. Although there is no force on them. Most of the time, they clean the cameras first. So that the people below the field can know about the situation outside. There is a woman named Gloria here. Since there is a lottery to get someone pregnant, everyone can know the news. So Gloria comes to meet Alison. But Holston didn't trust Gloria. Because Gloria was punished for cheating on a person. Anyway, Alison has to trust her. So she goes to meet him. Before talking, Gloria leaves the water so that no one can hear them. In fact, Gloria was completely convinced that all of them were being monitored. Also, the Judicial was deliberately preventing Allison from having a baby. She had proof. She said, "Go to the engineering section of the silo and meet George Vulcan. Then hopefully you'll get some evidence." Allison heard this and told Holsten why she hadn't been able to conceive after three years of trying. Because Holsten was completely tied to some of the silo's rules and regulations.
So he says - they applied for every
matter. Then they had to be saved. So they can't be held responsible for the
judicial lock. Anyway, according to Glory, Alison wants to meet George. George
is a software engineer. George says he found something, it's a wreck. Which he
hid. Actually, it's a hard drive that he's trying to crack. But he keeps
failing. He's taken the help of some people. But nothing has worked. Alison was
very skilled. So George thinks that Alison can do it. Alison tries. Although
today is a special day being celebrated in the silo, Alison ignores them and
gets busy opening this hard drive. After many attempts, she is finally able to
open the files on the hard drive. When she opens the file, a map of the silo
appears. Since the silo doesn't have an advanced computer, this file was very
special for them. These were 3D images. Seeing these things scared Alison
because they were against the rules. Seeing something like this or working on
something like this was like going straight to death. So he suggested
destroying this file and left it open and left. After he left, George saw that
there were thousands of files on the hard drive. Anything could be there. The
special day being celebrated in the silo today is called Freedom Day. From the
mayor's speech, we learn that the people who built the silo are called
founders. Anyway, after seeing the files on the hard drive, Alison's thinking
changed a lot. Now she suspects that it was the judicial plan for her not to
have a child. A year passed, and Alison's dream remained a dream. But one day
Alison met George downstairs. The two of them look at the files, inside of
which they find footage that makes them lose their senses. There was a video
footage of someone being sent out, meaning that he was sentenced to death.
Strange things were happening in
that video. The outside world was green, and the sky was blue. Seeing these,
Alison believed that many things were being hidden from them. Then he came
home. Holston noticed the change in Alison, but Alison still hadn't told him
anything. The next day, she didn't go to work but stayed home. Because she
wanted proof that she could show her husband. When Holston went to his office
to meet him, he wasn't there. So when he came home, Alison was tense. She said
that I had my suspicions about this place for a long time. But I wanted to find
some proof. Because you are a person who doesn't trust anything easily. Alison
says Judicial won't let us have the baby. She shows the birth control device in
her stomach. Which she cut out herself. That is, the doctor did all this at
that time; it was all a drama. Holston sees his wife's condition and quickly
runs to the doctor, but Alison goes in front of the cafeteria screen and starts
screaming and tries to explain to everyone that the truth is being hidden from
us. We feel like we are free here, but it is not true. This is just for show.
The outside world is completely safe. Meanwhile, Holston reaches there with the
doctor. Holston wanted to take her away from here. However, Alison does not
agree to this, and finally she says, I want to go outside. She has said this in
front of many people, and it is a big crime in the silo. Besides, it is
considered a sin. Now she has to be sent outside. Hearing this, Holston's heart
completely breaks. Now he can't save his wife. So the deputy takes her into
custody. Well, if she is suitable for living in the outside world, then good.
Alison is going out. The mayor and Sam discuss that we should make up a lie to
save Alison. But this is impossible. Because Alison has said this in front of
many people. Now nothing will happen. But Holston wants to know, so he starts
an investigation. In which he first arrests Glory. With the help of which they
find George Wilken, and he is also arrested. George says that Alison only came
to visit him once, and on the other hand, the police can't find the hard drive
in George's house. That is, it is impossible to save Alison. Now, whoever is
sent out is given a special suit. So that the outside toxins don't kill them
suddenly. Holston meets with her for the last time. Alison tells her, "I
know you're angry with me. If I were you, I would feel the same way, but
believe me, we're kept in the dark. When I go out, if everything is fine
outside, that is, if there are plants, animals, and greenery, then I will clean
the camera. In which you understand that we are being lied to in the silo, and
if I don't clean the camera, the outside world will be what it looks like from
the inside." The next day, Alison is prepared to be sent out, and Holston
gives her her punishment. At that time, Holston cried a lot. Because she is
losing the most beloved person in her life. Alison's last words are that she
loves her husband very much.
Many people in the silo started gathering in the cafeteria to watch this scene. Alison went out happily, happily. Since Alison crossed the two exit doors, we don't see the outside world from the inside. What is the outside world like, or what did Alison see? But she was happy, and the interesting thing is that she came close to the camera and cleaned it. As she said, she would clean it when the outside world was okay. Then she started to move forward, but suddenly she fell down. Halston was watching this scene with everyone in the cafeteria. This is how Alison died. No one still knows the truth. Now all this has happened, and two years have passed. Halston is still the sheriff. He does his job with all his heart. But he misses his wife a lot. One day, Deputy Sam brings a case to Halston. He says that engineer George Wilken is dead. But a woman says it was a murder. Sheriff Holsten goes downstairs to see the body, but the woman is not there. So Sam and the sheriff go to the engineering section to meet her, and here we see the main character, Juliet Nichols. Julia came to the engineering section at the age of 13. Anyway, Holsten is seen in the present - after telling Sam everything, she is also put in a suit like Alison. The mayor hears his punishment. Many people from their departments gather at the places where the screens are to see Holsten's punishment. Here, Julia sees that she has come to see Holsten's death. Meanwhile, Holsten goes outside, and he sees that there is greenery everywhere outside. Birds are flying in the blue sky, and everything is very beautiful. But he remembered his wife. Holston happily went to clean the camera. So that the people inside could see the scene outside, and whenever someone cleaned the camera, the people in the silo were very happy. Some people even bet on whether he would clean the camera or not. He fell down after walking a few steps. The people in the silo watched the scene in shock. Holston's condition continued to worsen. Unable to bear it, he took off his helmet and staggered to his wife Alison, and then he also died. Julio was watching everything from the cafeteria. He angrily said that he was a liar, and with that, he left. Some people started arguing. Then a man named Knox calmed everyone down and said, look, there is nothing for us outside. So, everyone, mind your own business. The mechanical head of the engineering section is an old woman. Her name is Martha Worker, and Martha is called Knox. She is the head of the workers here. She keeps an eye on everyone. She explains their work. Julie works here as a mechanic. But everyone has that qualification. Everyone keeps the pressure of the silo's huge generator right, but for some time, there has been a problem with the silo's generator. Which we will find out more deeply in the future. Meanwhile, Deputy Sam is sadder than anyone else about Holston's death. Holston has left a letter and his base for Sam. But what was written in the letter will be known later. Mayor Roth is very worried. Sam meets him in the evening. The two of them have a very good relationship. It would not be wrong to even say that Sam loves Roth. He comes to his office, where Roth is knitting sweaters for the new babies born in the silo. Roth says he's seen all the old records. None of the mayors in the silo before me have ever sent their sheriff out, but I'm the only mayor who's had this happen to me. This indicates that things are going to get worse in the silo soon. Sam tells him not to worry and to hire a new sheriff. Sam will be retiring in a few months. Although it's the mayor's job to hire a sheriff. But I don't know why the judicial people always interfere in this, and they want to put whoever they want in this post. Then we see the level where things are recycled.
Since the silo has limited resources, he sends the things that no one needs to be recycled to the reselling department. Then, someone gets the item that he really needs. This is a rule of Silo. Whether someone wants it or not, they have to recycle their stuff. Meanwhile, Julio was worried. At first, we thought Julio was looking for the truth. He also wants to know Silo's secret, but that's not the case. So far, Julia has not bothered about any of Silo's secrets. She comes to Martha's workshop in an angry state. Julia grew up with Martha. So Martha understands Julia. Martha asks what happened? Julia says that Halston's promise to me was not fulfilled. I believe George did not end his own life, but was murdered. Now we will know what happened to George and what his relationship with Julia? And why did Julia call Holsten a liar after Holsten's death? To find out all this, we have to take the story back in time. It has been about two years since Alison died. Holsten is investigating George's case. He sees George jump from a high place and kill himself. But Julia doesn't think he killed himself. His name is Hank, the deputy of the engineering section. He knows everyone on Level Three below. So after Julia asks him for help, he brings Holsten to Julia. They all come to the place where George fell from. Julia tells Holsten that George can't kill himself. Because I know him. He wasn't depressed, and he didn't have any problems. This incident happened at 3 am. But the rule is that everyone has to sleep at night. Since there is no elevator here. Still, people are connected because there are people who work here who are called porters. They deliver various things as well as letters, Holsten says - maybe some porters saw it happen here. Since Julia loved George, most people on her level knew about their relationship. George was very happy when he met Julia the day before his death. He tells Julia - I found something that I have been looking for for a long time. At night, Julia goes to George's apartment to see it, where she shows him a toy and a note - Do you remember where we first saw this toy? I have found the thing that I have been waiting for for many years. This toy is actually a dispenser in which children put candy. Doesn't understand what these mean? But she hides it. Now, when the Sheriff wants to help her, Julia tells him everything. But Julia wasn't stupid either. She tore the note in half. Then Julia took the Sheriff to where he first saw the dispenser. This place is much lower than the lowest levels. After going a long way, the road ends. A sign ahead said, "Do not proceed from this place. Going beyond this will be a violation of the law." Julia took Holsten into it. There was a small tunnel. Although it was a crime for Holsten to come here, she agreed with Julia that Holsten would not trap Julia in them. Anyway, they went down 20 feet. Then they reached a place where the excavation of the silo had begun. Seeing the scene there, the sheriff's eyes widened. The entire silo was built with this huge machine. But such a big machine cannot be taken back. So it was left here, and the silo was built on top of it. Julia said that most people don't know about this place and that George used to come to this place many times. Julia took out a box that had some relics in it.
Holston asked if George traded in
relics. Julia didn't answer. I don't know. But he liked those things a lot. He
used to collect them. I never understood what fun he got from them. But he was
looking for something in particular. There was no particular relic in this box.
But there was a torn wire stuck in it. That's what Julia noticed. Julia looked
around. Then she found it in another place. Which is hidden. Julia follows the
wire and finds a bag. It is attached to the wire. That is, there was something
special in it. Inside the bag was a notebook. Where it was written How to
Recover Deleted Files and a Hard Drive. In fact, it is the hard drive that
Alison opened. Holston tells Julia to take it and promises that he will not
tell anyone about it. Hearing this, Julia gets angry. Because he wants to reach
George's killer. But Holston was saying something else. He says that Holston
only suspects Julia by looking at her watch. After this, he agrees to help her,
and his real purpose is that George told Alison that Alison wanted to go out.
Holston tells Julia that it is a red-level relic.
If the judicials find out about
this, you will be punished. I will help, I promise, just keep quiet about it
until I figure out what these are. Julia had no other choice, so she was forced
to agree to Holston's words, but he angrily said that if he had listened to his
wife, he might be alive today. Holston said, "Didn't you feel scared when
you saw Alison? She was also looking for answers. Do you know what happened to
her after that?" So listen to me, it's better when I get an answer, I will
give you a signal. Here we find out why Julia called Holston a liar when he was
sent out. The real reason for this is that Holston goes out, but he doesn't
give Julia any signals. Julia was listening to these stories from Martha. The
torn note that Julia gave Holston, part of which she kept for herself, read:
"I found that thing." George had been working on the silo mystery for
many years, and one day he told Julia that there was a secret door in the
water. She just had to find that door. But alas for Julia, she would never get
the chance to go into the water, and George would never live to go there. The
interesting thing here is that the letter that Holston gave Sam said that after
I die, Julia Nichols should be made sheriff. Which was a very strange decision.
Julia lives at the lowest levels. She is an engineer. How can she be a sheriff?
But that could be a signal. Which Julia wanted. But it is a bit difficult for
Mayor Ruth to make this decision. Someone who knows about the law should be the
sheriff. He also took proper training. There are many deputies here who can be
sheriffs. But I don't know why Holsten is asking Julia to be the sheriff. Then,
Julia is seen going to the lowest levels of the silo, where she goes to a place
where she used to live with George. It turns out that Julia is afraid of water.
But she is not alone; the entire silo is afraid of both the dark and water.
There was water below everyone. So one day, Julia decided to go into the water.
So that she could find out what George saw there. She tied a rope and went very
far, but she didn't have the courage. She got stuck in the middle. The next
morning, her friend Shirley called her. Actually, there was a problem with the
generator. So Julia wants to fix it. If anyone in the silo has any skills, she
always teaches them to someone.
It is as if that skill is passed
down from one generation to another. Julia's father was a doctor. His name was
Doctor Pete. Julia was supposed to become a doctor. But it didn't happen.
Because something changed in Julia's life. Because of which she ended up here.
That is a different story that we will know later. Anyway, Julia is a skilled
engineer. So she wants to teach her skill to someone. The one who learns is
called Shadow. Julia's Shadow is a boy named Cooper. Cooper is a good boy.
However, Julia doesn't like Cooper that much, and today she even punched
Cooper. Then Knox, the head of mechanical, talks to Julia. After George leaves,
Julia's behavior is changing. Julia angrily says that there is a problem with
the generator. It needs to be turned off and fixed. Otherwise, the router will
be torn to pieces. But Knox refuses. Because it can never be dark in the silo.
It has never happened in the silo in the last 140 years.
Everyone has a fear of the dark. But Julia is right. If the small problem with the generator is not fixed now, the generator will shut down forever, and of course, it is the lifeline of the silo. If there is no light, there will be nothing. 10,000 people are certain to die. After talking to Knox, Julia goes to Martha Worker to lighten her mood. Although Julia has been with Martha for 13 years, there is not much love between them. The two of them talk to each other in anger. But they respect each other a lot, and both of them trust each other. The strange thing is that Martha has not left her workshop for the last 25 years. Julia tells Martha- I am a failure, I can't even go into the water for George, but Martha calms her down and says that we are human, we get frustrated and fail, but we shouldn't give up. Julia says before leaving that- look, I am being told this by the man who hasn't left his workshop for 20 years. Going to the upper levels, we see the mayor preparing to go down to meet Julia since there are 144 floors and there are only stairs to go down so it takes a long time to go down to the lower floors so if someone wants to go down or if someone wants to come up from below, then he takes a bag and drinking water with him because it is a long journey. The mayor wants Julia to be the sheriff at least a little, but the judicials are reluctant to accept this, yet they don't interfere much with the mayor's work. The Judicials want the Mayor to appoint someone of their choosing as Sheriff, but Mayor Roth has not yet agreed to this. Anyway, they first meet with the IT head, Berner, to ask him what he thinks of this decision. Will this decision have any consequences in the future? Bernard is not happy with this decision at all. He says Julia is a thief. She once stole a heat tap. Although it is known that Julia did it to fix something in engineering. But Bernard does not believe it. One thing we have to remember here is that the heat tap is an important point. Mayor Roth used to knit sweaters for most of the children here. He has not been to the lower floors for many years. But now Rod goes there and sees that the children have grown up.
The mayor meets them and gets
acquainted with Julia's father, Dr. Pete. The mayor asks him about Julia and
how their relationship is. Pete is surprised by what happened. Did Julia do
something? The mayor says, "No, we are hiring her for a new poster. But I
find it hard to believe that your daughter was supposed to be a doctor. How did
she go into engineering?" Pete says, "Julia always had a hobby of
fixing bad things. At the age of 13, she moved to the engineering section. I
don't get a chance to meet her. Here I have to treat children and sick
patients. I get one or two days off a week. So rest is very important for me
that day." Hearing this, Mayor Ruth and Sam start going down. On the way,
they stop for food. Where can we see the silo design better? How they produce
food at some level. Ruth and Sam are about to go for breakfast. Just then,
Robert Sins, the head of security for the Judicial, arrives. He has brought
some fresh strawberries with him for his daughter Ruth. Robert says it's from
Judge Meadows.
Judge Meadows is the supreme head of
the silo, meaning everything goes according to his word. Meadows is a woman who
will be met later. But now Robert has come to convince Meyer not to make Julia
the sheriff, but to make a good, experienced person. The judiciary has a man
named Deputy Paul Blings. Robert says that he has a family, and he has been a
deputy for a long time, and no one can be a better sheriff than him, but the mayor
says that he will first meet with Julia and then decide. Robert leaves from
there and finally reaches the mayor's engineering section. As soon as he
reaches there, the ground suddenly starts shaking because the generator problem
is increasing. Julia is nearby, so he quickly goes towards the generator. The
mayor is watching Julia from above, while Julia tells everyone to calm down -
so she can hear where the problem is. She feels something is right and tells
Knox that a blade in the router is bent. It keeps hitting the body. We have to
fix it. Otherwise, the router will fall apart. Then Julia meets with the mayor
and Deputy Sam. Julia is surprised that she is not being rested. So the mayor
tells Julia about Sheriff Holston's OC. The mayor says that no one but Sam and
I wants you in the sheriff's post. Julia is very surprised and says that I am
not ready for this. My work in the silo is really important. I have to keep an
eye on my generator. I have to fix it. Sam- Holston's base leaves Julia. After
they leave, Julia talks to Sam. Everyone wonders what kind of decision this is.
When Deputy Hank sees a note on the back of Holston's base, he gives the base
to Julia. When Julia sees the back of the base, she realizes that this may be
the signal that Holston told her about. Julia quickly goes to the mayor and Sam
and says, "I've changed my mind. I'll take this post. But I have one
condition." The mayor asks, "What condition?" Julia says,
"I have to be allowed to fix the generator. If I fix it, I won't have any
more tension. But to do that, we have to turn off the generator for a
while." Hearing this, the mayor and Sam look at Julia in surprise. Because
the generator has never been turned off before. The people in the silo are
afraid of three things. One, the dark, two, water, and three, going outside.
Julia explains that if we don't fix the generator, 100,000 people will be stuck
in the dark for life.
We have backup power. We can use
that. Anyway, Ruth has to make this decision. She says okay, you do your job.
Julia talks to her teammates. Everyone was worried that if the generator wasn't
fixed, the silo would be destroyed. Now, if they want to repair the generator,
they have to stop or shut off the flow of steam. Shirley explains to everyone
that the founders of the silo were very smart. They knew that the generator
would fail at some point. So they created a hedge, a small space. In which we
can stop the steam for a while. But if too much steam is held, there will be an
explosion, and everything will be destroyed. Anyway, they plan - first of all,
they will bring the pressure of the Nox Steams to 50%. Then the generator will
be opened. When the problem is detected, the Nox Steams will be completely shut
down. Then they will have only 30 minutes, and they will have to remove the
damaged parts, repair them, and install them within that short time. There is
no room for error. So, all the people in engineering will be on this job today
and will work very quickly. That evening, Mayor Ruth announced to the entire
silo that the generator is being shut down for some time, as a result of which
you will all have to run on backup. Everyone gets scared, and many people
gather in the cafeteria. Now Knox brought the steam to 50% and turned off the
power to the silos, and a strange scene appeared on the screen in the cafeteria
- it only lasted a few seconds. The screen showed that there was no ruined
world outside, but a green, lush world. Everyone there couldn't understand
anything. As soon as the steam was turned off below, the generator was turned
on. Julie was right.
One of the blades on the router has
bent. It is eating away at the rest of the house. Everyone is ready. Now the
steam is completely shut off. The steam is now accumulating in that hatch. As
soon as the router is shut off, Julie and Cooper quickly go up and open the
blade. They have to do everything quickly. The parents in the silo are
reassuring their children that the light will come back on. Mayor Ruth is in
Deputy Sam's office. We know that Sam loves Ruth. But when will he confess his
love? Maybe after death. The two come out and see that the entire silo is
quiet, not a sound. Deputy Sam says that the people in the silo have never been
so scared before today. The mayor asks what you will do when you retire? Sam says
I will open my own shop. Where I will make sketches. Sam asks Ruth - You will
be retiring soon. What will you do then? Ruth jokingly says I will open a shop
next to someone who makes sketches. Hearing this, Sam understands that Ruth
also loves him and both of them come to each other. They are all busy fixing
the generator. But they are not able to finish the work in 30 minutes. The
steam was accumulating in the haze. Knox will not be able to stop the steam
anymore. Because the haze was getting hot. He shouts to Julia to get down
quickly. I can't stop it anymore. But how will Julia leave this work in the
middle? So he asks Cooper to stay there. He goes down himself and runs towards
the haze. His idea was to try to cool the haze with water. Maybe the idea will
work. By then, Cooper will have time to put the blade on. So he goes down. But
it is necessary to close the door from behind.
After which, the water starts to
lower the temperature of the hedge, and Cooper puts the blade back in place.
And Knox turns on the generator, but Julia is still trapped inside. He doesn't
stop the water, so the hedge doesn't get hot. But he is drowning himself while
doing so. Everyone quickly gets Julia out of there, and luckily, the generator
is now completely fine. Now that Julia has decided to move from engineering to
the top floor, where she will take her post, she says goodbye to her friends,
especially Martha. However, the truth is that Julia has no desire to be sheriff.
She just wants to find George's killer. Anyway, we will soon find out where
Julia's journey takes her. Later that day, Ruth meets with Berner. Berner first
complains about her power going out. The mayor says it was urgent. There was a
problem with the generator, and Julia fixed it. But Berner still has no respect
for Julia. He still calls her a thief. At night, when Sam and Ruth were signing
some papers, something suddenly happened to Mayor Ruth, and she died. We will
find out what happened to the mayor later. Then we see Julia's past, where she
is still young. Where we learn that Julia's father was a doctor and that Julia's
mother's name is Henan Nichols. Julia also had a younger brother. Who was sick
since childhood and died at the age of 11. A few months later, Julia's mother
also died. All this broke Julia from the inside. However, something happened
during this time, from her brother's death to her mother's death, which made
Julia start to hate her father.
After the death of her mother, the
father and daughter used to quarrel. So one day, Julia moved out of her house.
Since she was fond of fixing broken things, she went into engineering. Where
she met Mardh, a worker. Mardh did not want to keep her. But seeing Julia's
insistence, he gave her the job of removing garbage. All the resale items in
the silo are thrown through a big pipe from each floor. The people working in
engineering here divide these things separately. Every five minutes, something
or other keeps falling from the pipe. From here, Julia started her journey in
engineering. One day, Julia's father came to pick her up. But Julia did not
want to go back. Her father did not force her. And he asked, "Mom, are you
happy here?" Then Julia cried and said, "I can only rest for a while
in the whole day." I was extremely tired. I am so happy that I don't even
get a chance to think about my mother and brother. Julia reaches the mayor's
office, but she sees that Berner and Robert are already there with Deputy Sam,
and the mayor's body is lying downstairs. Sam is very angry because he knows
that the mayor was poisoned - it is still not known who did it, but the drink
that the mayor had last night was poisoned. Sam starts to go crazy because he
loved Ruth, but seeing Julia there, Sam is not happy, and Bernardo does not
agree with this decision, but keeping in mind the situation, a sheriff is
needed right now. So Julia will accept the post. Then Julia goes to the
sheriff's office that is a woman who works in Holston's office named Sandy, who
was officially Holston's assistant, she is now Julia's assistant. He says some
bitter things to Julia. Which means that no one likes people from lower levels.
But he will fulfill the purpose for which Julia came here. So, it doesn't
matter to him.
He argues with her that from now on,
I am your boss. So you have to listen to me. You have to eat the food that we
eat ourselves. On the first day, Julia asks him for George Wilken's file. Now
that Julia has got the sheriff's job, she also gets a room. That night, Bernard
came to meet her. In fact, he has taken a sheriff's uniform for her and is
confirming her sheriff's post. That is, a book from Silo where you have to
swear to follow all their rules. Bernard tells Julia that I have never been on
your side. But given the situation, it is an obligation. Anyway, the next day,
when Julia comes to the office, Sandy tells her that the judicials have refused
to give George's file and that they have received news that Deputy Sam is
fighting with someone. Julia quickly goes to him, where Sam has broken
someone's nose. Julia calms him down and takes him to the cafeteria. Sam is
tense and angry. Ruth's death has broken him inside; he knows that someone must
have poisoned Ruth, so he now questions whoever he suspects. But this is not
the right thing to do, so Julia makes a deal with him. He says, I know that no
one is happy about me being sheriff. And I don't care. You help me, and I will
help you. Sam asks him, what did you tell Halston? Because he's changed since
he met you.
Julia says - I just told him that if
you had listened to your wife, maybe your wife would be alive today. Anyway,
according to the plan, Sam will help Julia, and Julia will help Sam find Mayor
Ruth's killer. Sam agrees, and he knows someone who is illegally doing business
with Alix. It was a woman. Both of them go to meet her. But the woman's
husband, the deputy, didn't like Sam at all. He says my wife died two years
ago. They start arguing. There, she punches Sam. Julia tells Sam that Holston
promised me that he would give me a signal. So I know he knows something.
That's why he gave me his best. The truth is written on the back. Julia finds a
sketch of Mayor Ruth in Sam's room. She sees that Sam loved her. Since most of
Holston's belongings were sent for resale after his death, Julia goes there
too, but she doesn't find much. Meanwhile, Robert, who works at the Judicial,
comes to meet Sam. He tries to convince Sam that he should falsely accuse Julia
and fire her from the sheriff's job and put a good person in the Judicial in
her place. However, Sam says that if Holston chooses her, he will see what
qualities she has. Robert doesn't argue much and leaves. That night, Sam
couldn't sleep even after a long night, and suddenly someone broke into his
room and killed him. That night, Julia finds George's file in Holston's
apartment. Which Holston hid in a wand. Now a change has begun to happen. Maybe
there will be a rebellion in the silo. Who knows, maybe the outside world is completely
safe. The room that Julia is in now is the room that Holston was in. Holston
kept a hidden file for Julia in his wand. Which she has now found. In fact, it
was George's case file. Here was his statement. George had hidden a big secret.
Which Julie still doesn't know. Just then, a potter comes to the door with
urgent news. In fact, it was the news of Deputy Sam's death. Julia feels very
bad to hear this. When she arrives at her apartment, Robert and Paul Ballings
are already there. In fact, this is the Paul that the judicials wanted to put
in the sheriff's post.
Sam's apartment was certainly broken
into last night and killed. Although Sam fights the killer a lot. But in the
end, he dies. Julia saw a scene of Ruth in Sam's apartment. Which is not there
now. Maybe the killer took it. Julia notes it. After a while, Bernard comes
there. Now they have to keep this case quiet at all costs or at least not let
anything come forward that will scare the people of Silo. So Bernard says we
have to bring their relationship forward. This will divert people's attention a
little, and they decide to announce a memorial. This memorial is to announce in
memory of Mayor Ruth. Robert seemed very angry. He tells Julia, I met him last
night. I told him to remove you from the sheriff's post. But he wanted to see
your failure. Now Deputy Sam is replaced by Paul. Which Julia was not happy
about. But he is forced to accept. Then the two are buried together in the silo
garden. Bernard gives a speech there. Then he asks Julia to say something.
Deputy Hank from Mechanical came. Because so much is happening here. Hank tells
Julia that Martha is worried about him. He asks her to give up the sheriff's
post. But Julia doesn't agree. Because she has to find the murderer. Julia
finds a list in Sam's pocket.
The list contained the names of the
people whom Sam suspected, and Mayor Ruth's killer might be one of them. So now,
using that list, Julia starts looking for the killer. Sandy was also very sad
because of Sam and Ruth's deaths. Although he didn't like Julia, he now wants
Julia to find the killer. So Paul also supports her in this investigation. But
Julia secretly goes to meet a man named Patrick Kennedy. He wasn't home at the
time. So Julia quietly enters his house without a warrant and finds the sketch
there. From what she sees, she realizes that Patrick may have killed Sam. Which
can't be true, or maybe someone has set him up. Maybe someone left the sketch
in his room when he went to meet Patrick. He went to work at that time. So Julia
warns him. On the other hand, Paul goes to meet Robert instead of going home.
Robert was with a man named Duck at the time. He is telling him something. Paul
actually says Robert, there - get to know him, Paul, he is my student. After
Duck leaves, Paul is a bit surprised. Maybe Duck is not good. Paul has come to
talk about the case of Deputy Sam and Mayor Ruth. Then he tells Robert that he
suspects one of them. But it is not Patrick, it is someone else. Actually,
Robert knew that Paul would go and tell Julia about this. So he says this to
distract Julia and not investigate who put the sketch in Patrick's house,
because if Julia knows who is trying to trap Patrick by putting the sketch in
Patrick's house, then, of course, he is the real murderer. Paul- After meeting
Julia, he does exactly that, saying that the Judicial has named a person who
could be the mayor's killer, but Julia was very smart and understood that the
Judicial just wants to divert their attention. Today, the race is supposed to
be held, and they announced that everyone is here to watch the race. Here comes
the murderer. Who has been fooling everyone so far? In fact, the Judicial
people are doing all this. Those who harm them and secretly steal information
from the silo are removed from their path by the Judicial.
The murderer was the target, and now
he was going to kill Patrick, according to Robert. Because Julia should not
find any clues by talking to Patrick. How did the sketch get into her house?
Now that everyone is watching the race, it is easy for the Judicial people to
remove Patrick from the street. But Julia guessed all this in advance. He was
there before. So Duck runs away. Julia also catches up with him. At this time,
the two fight. At one point, Julia hangs from the railing. Duck would have
killed her. But the people's attention goes to them, and Julia survives. That
evening, Duck meets Robert. He has come to tell him that he has failed in his
work. Robert does not get angry, but says that there is no problem. We are
human, and humans make mistakes. Next to him, he starts telling Robert the
story of his childhood, that he was the son of a sweeper, but his destiny was
written differently. At the end, he asks Duck, are you ready to do anything for
the good of the silo? Duck answers - yes, and after saying this, he pushes
Robert down, which kills Duck. The next day, everyone finds out about this.
Then Paul and Julia meet Jazz Madasar. Madasar's position is above everyone
else; he makes all the decisions, and the rest have to obey him. Judge Madas
tells Julia to close this case now. We have found the killer of the girl Ruth
and the Devout Sam. He is now dead. Julia does not talk to him much, thanks him,
and leaves. Paul and Julia slowly start to trust each other. But that Centinum
assistant is leaving the office and is going to shift to level 105. Maybe he
does not like it without Holston. Bernard, who was the head of IT, is now in
the place of the temporary mayor. He will be the mayor until the election. He
meets Julia and apologizes, saying that I suspected you in the beginning, but
that was my mistake. Now I understand why Holston wanted you. You did a great
job, and as long as I am here, you can ask for my help. Then Julia asked for
two days off, saying that she had to go downstairs, say goodbye to my people in
engineering, and finish up some unfinished work. Berner gave her permission to
go downstairs that evening. Earlier, Julia had met a man named Lucas in the
cafeteria, a software engineer. He came to spend some time in the cafeteria almost
every evening.
After everyone left, he tried to
understand their patterns. Julia asked him what are you doing? Lucas said,
"This Tim Tim light is moving in a special pattern. I don't know
why?" Then Julia went downstairs. Upon reaching downstairs, Julia met
Martha. Martha was worried about Julia due to the situation above and the
recent death. Martha told Julia that you should resign now. But Julia did not
agree. Julia found a device among George's belongings. Which was very advanced.
No engineer or mechanic here could understand it. The use of magnifiers is also
prohibited here. So that people cannot know anything about the old world.
People are kept under control here. And when someone crosses the limit, they
die. And Martha is afraid that something bad might happen to Julia, too. But
Julia wants to stay there for now. Finally, she goes downstairs. Where she
finds the dispenser from George's old things. Then Julia remembers an incident
she spent with George. When the two were together, George was alive.
Here we learn that there was a lot
of love between them. But George is looking for answers to many things. Julia
was never interested in anyone. She just wanted to be with George in the silo.
George didn't tell her much either. But then he died, and Julia never knew what
George was after. In the present, the murderer Dak is dead. And Judge Meadows
asks Julia to close the case, but Julia searches Dak's house for the last time,
and there, Paul finds the dispenser. It's a relic. So it's illegal in the silo.
Actually, the relic was put here by Julia. So that she can work on that closed
case again. Then they meet with Judge Meadows and Robert, the Judicial's man.
Robert says that the relic can't be from Duck. Because I know that I already
have the records of all the relics that were inside the silo for the last 140
years. But there were also provisions in some of the silo's contracts that
allowed the sheriff to investigate. Robert can understand that Julia is playing
a game. But he doesn't reveal it. Meadows gives permission. The judges killed
George. Julia just wanted to get to the bottom of the incident. But this is not
going to be just a murder. Rather, something surprising will come to light.
Paul tells Julia that you shouldn't go to any floor now because the Judicial
will be watching you, so Paul advises her to stay with him. Then, they both go
to meet Patrick Candy, whom they wanted to kill, but Julia saves his life.
Patrick's wife was in some illegal relic business; now that she is dead, Julia
needs some information. At first, she doesn't want to say anything, but later
she tells him the name of someone. It was a woman named Miss Jackson. When they
go to meet her, Julia is surprised to find out that she was actually George's
girlfriend. After hearing Miss Jackson's story, Julia's whole idea of George
changes. Miss Jackson says, "I thought he loved me too. But he was
actually using me, and when he got what he was looking for, he left me."
The Judicial people were suspicious of me. So they punished me and separated me
from my family. If George had made you a false promise, never trust him.
Suddenly, these words were very strange for Julia. Maybe George was using
others for his secret mission. Maybe Julia was also involved. Maybe she was a
victim too. After talking to Jackson, they left. But when Julia returned to the
office, she saw that Bernard and Robert were already there. They suspected that
the relic was deliberately placed there because Robert had already broken the
record, but Julia tricked Bernard into thinking that maybe Dak had brought the
relic from Georgia's apartment that night. Then she told Julia - your
investigation could make the situation worse because we have told Ruth and
Sam's death differently, so leave this case, it is better not to reveal some
things. Julia accepts this; maybe that's right. That night, she talks to Martha
Worker on her radio. Julia says, "I want to come back, but Martha knows
that Julia will feel like a failure later." So she advises her to stay away
for a while. Following Martha's advice, Julia goes to meet Miss Jackson that
night.
Because he didn't tell the whole
story last time. This time, he says I actually gave him that hard drive. I have
it as a deposit. That his mother gave him, and it's passed down through
generations. It was actually a book. It's very old, older than the silo.
The Bunker Was Never Safe- 144 Floors Below the Lie
Julia brings it home. It turns out
it has pictures of the old world. Julia is seeing this for the first time, and
she can't believe that the world was ever like this. Here comes a twist when we
see that everyone in the silo is being watched. There is a whole team who are
always hidden, and they also have sophisticated computers. One of them says we
have to wake everyone up, it's very important because they saw that Julia found
a rally at Red Level. Now we see old Gloria, who is in the hospital, the
strange thing is that she was observing the sea view. Although few people in
the silo know what the sea is, who Glory is, and how she knows all this. We
will find out later. Although Julie decided to leave it all behind the night
before, when she meets Miss Jackson, she learns something new from her, and now
she wants to meet Glory because she was George's aunt, and this family knows
something. Julia goes to the medical to meet her, but it seems that Gloria is
not in her senses and is talking strangely. Although Julia wants to know a lot,
the nurse tells her that she cannot talk to her without Madas's permission.
Julia plans to meet Judge Madas, pretending to let her talk to Glory, but Madas
is not in the office. Her assistant says that she is sick, so she is at her
house now. At that time, Paul's wife came to the police station to meet him.
But suddenly, he finds out that a fight has started at lower levels. Julia was
not there then. Anyway, Paul and the other deputies handle the matter. When
Julia returns, Paul angrily says you have to decide now - do your duty properly
or leave everything. Today I am dying if we had not reached at the right time,
these people might have killed each other. Julia apologizes to him and says you
know I came to find out the secret of George's death, but it is not a small
matter because I think many people are involved in George's death, like Holston,
his wife, Sam, and Ruth, and I have to find out. In the evening, Julia meets
Lucas again in the cafeteria. They are not seen tonight. They talk for a while,
and Lucas tries to get close to Julia, but Julia leaves. Today, Bernard messages
her to see her, and when she approaches him, Bernard says, "I feel like my
life is in danger." Hearing this, Julia is about to call security. But
Bernard stops her and says, "I control everything in IT. You think the
generator is running the silo. But what good is the generator if my IT people
don't use its power properly?" He keeps saying things like he suspects
Jazz Meadows. So he advises Julia to find what she's looking for quickly.
Because Jazz Meadows might remove her soon. So Julia goes to meet him. But Jazz
Meadows was at his house, and he was sick. Julia tells him, "Let's make a
deal." You want to remove me, I will go myself, but just once. Let me meet
Glory for a few hours, but Madas says it is out of my hands. Julia is quite
surprised to hear that everything is under your control, but Madas does not
help her. Julia leaves from there, but she has to meet Glory, so she takes the
help of her father, who secretly takes her to the medical center. It is night,
so there are not many people there, but Robert and his team are keeping an eye
on Glory, and they can see what drug she is being given. And Gloria is
intoxicated and cannot answer any questions. Anyway, Dr. Pete says we are
giving her some medicine to reverse the seizure. But I don't know if it will
work. Julia has very little time.
Dr. Pete gives her an injection,
which starts to hurt Gloria's body, and after a while, she regains
consciousness. Meanwhile, Robert and his team find out that Julia has gone to
talk to Glory. Fortunately, they were in a place where there were no cameras.
When Gloria's condition improved a bit, Julia started asking her some questions
about George. Gloria started crying when she saw Dr. Pete. Because 40 years
ago, Gloria couldn't give birth to a child because of Pete. Because her birth
control device wasn't removed like Alison's. Hearing this, Julia gets very
angry at her father. But he says, "I was forced to do it." I mean,
the judicial authorities forced him to do it. Then, Julia shows Gloria the
book. She gets more emotional when she sees it. She asks, "I gave this to
George's mother. How did she get it?" Julia wants to know what these are.
Gloria says, "People like us are called Flame Keepers." We know about
the old world. After the rebellion, the Salath tried to wipe out our race.
That's why I never had children. We know a lot, and your mother thought the
same. She was a Flamekeeper too.
Julia is quite surprised to hear
this. And she realizes that everyone is being lied to here. Gloria says, Hide
this book. If they find out, you will be in great danger. Then Julia realizes
that there may be cameras everywhere. In fact, these cameras are installed
behind each outside mirror. She then covers the mirrors with a cloth. Robert
sends Raders. But by then, Julia had left. And she also finds the hard drive.
Which Halston has now hidden in the vent of Gloria's room. When the Raders
arrive, they cannot find Julia.
