Knowledge gained from others is like a stone.
An old sage was walking through the forest with one of his young monks. Then night came down, and it started getting dark all around. Old sage questioned the young saint, "But, do you think it could be a danger to pass through this path? This path has gone into a deep forest, and it's starting to get dark. Is there anything to fear?”
The young monk is very surprised. Because there is no question of fear in the life of a saint. Whether it's dark or light night, it's a deep forest or local, it's amazing to be afraid of a monk. And that sage was never scared before. What happened to her today? Why is he scared today? There is something wrong. Knowledge gained from others is like a stone.
The night became darker as they went a little further. The old sage again asked, "Is there nothing to worry about on the way? Do you think we'll be in town soon? How far is this? ”
Then they stopped at a well to wash their hands. The old sage hung his pouch on the shoulder of the young monk and said, "Take care of this." "The young monk thought, "No doubt there is something inside this pouch, nothing to fear and nothing to take care of. ”
Taking care of a monk is a strange thing; so there is no point in being a monk, because the person who has things to care for is a home dweller. What is the need for the monk to take care of all these?
When the old sage started washing his face, the young monk put his hand inside the pouch and found that there was a golden brick. Then she could realise the reason for the fear of the sage. He threw it into the woods and put a piece of stone in the pouch. The old sage came back quickly, washing his hands, quickly took the pouch, touched it, felt the weight, then hung the pouch on his shoulder and started walking again.
After a short walk, he said, "It's getting too dark, have we forgotten the way? Is there no danger ahead? ”
The young saint said, "Do not be afraid. I've left the fear behind. ”
Old sage pushes his mind. He quickly looked inside the pouch and found that there was a piece of rock in the golden place. For a while, he stood there overwhelmed, then started laughing, and said, "I'm an idiot. Carrying a piece of stone, yet I'm still scared because I thought it was a golden brick. ”
When he realized he was carrying a piece of rock, he threw it away and said, "We will sleep here tonight, because it's gonna be hard to find a way in this darkness. "They slept peacefully in the woods that night.
If you think all these thoughts and ideas are golden bricks, take good care of them and stick to them. But I want to tell y'all, they're not gold bricks, they're just heavy stones. The things you consider knowledge are not knowledge at all; they are not gold, they are absolutely stones.
Throwing away garbage is not a problem, but throwing away gold is a problem. As long as you consider them wisdom you can't throw away, and problems will remain in your mind. Try to calm your mind in a thousand ways, but nothing will work. Deep in your mind, you wish to have these thoughts because you consider them wisdom. The worst problems of life arise from these misunderstandings, which are not. Then all kinds of problems arise. If one considers a piece of stone as a golden brick, then the problem begins. If anyone considers stone as stone, then play is along.
So the richness of your thoughts is not real richness—this is the truth to be realized. But how do you realize that? Is it so I'll say, and you'll understand? If my words have your understanding, then that understanding will be borrowed; it will be pointless. I have nothing to do with your understanding. You have to see yourself, you have to seek and realize.
So you need to peek into your mind pocket and see what you think is knowledge, or just garbage? You collected formulas from the Geeta, the words of the Veda, the words of the Buddha, and the Mahavir, and continuously you remember them, think about them, finding their meaning. You continue reading and writing on them, and discussing them with others. Absolutely going, so the madness started.
True knowledge has nothing to do with this madness. No flame of light shall shine in your life, no light shall rise from all this. And by collecting this garbage, you will make the mistake that you have gained the richness of great knowledge, as if you are now a great master, as if you have many things, your treasury is completely full, and that is how you will live and destroy your life.
Knowledge from others is like stone; knowledge that is only inspired from within you is like gold. The day you realize that you are carrying stones in the pouch, that day the game will be together. That day, you won't have a second to throw this stone away.
